Our Lunch and Learn Series aims to foster knowledge sharing, learning, and collaboration within the international development community by presenting the latest research being developed in universities across Atlantic Canada. It also aims to provide a space to discuss the latest in academics and community development or public engagement practice. These sessions are attended by professionals, students, and community leaders involved in or passionate about international cooperation, global solidarity and development.
Topics of Interest:
We are seeking presentations on a variety of timely and important topics, including but not limited to: international cooperation, global solidarity, feminist and gender inclusive development, public engagement, social justice and equity, Indigenous knowledges and decolonization, human rights and global governance, innovation in international development / cooperation, localization, youth engagement in development.
Who Should Apply
We encourage academics, current PhD candidates and recent Master’s-level graduates, working in relevant fields to apply. All successful applicants will be awarded a $450 honorarium for sharing their time and expertise.
Presentation Windows:
There are two windows during which we’d invite and work with successful candidates to present their research – November 15 to November 30, and January 15 to March 31. If you prefer to present in a specific window, please mention so in your application.

If you prefer / would like to test a format for presentation of your research. Typically, each session is designed to be forty-minutes to an hour-long presentation, followed by a Q&A.
